Duchy has been singing since the age of three, with her first studio recording session at 14. Three years later, in 1997,
Duchy released her first single 'Weakness' on Jet Star Recordings. She was quickly picked up by talent scouts,
and selected to appear on the Channel 4 'Chancers' programme, a documentary style 'fly on the wall' talent show
following the experiences of a group of young artists picked by Fat Man Scoop to work with some the USA’s top producers at the time.
Since then, Duchy has gone on to record a string of releases with producers such as The Underwolves, Don-e, Bubblas, Brian Allen,
Phil Craig, Ricky Ranking, and featuring alongside artists such as Omar and Carleen Anderson.
Duchy has performed at the Womad festival Reading, Jazz Café Camden, Ten Rooms, Panjia and Mayfair nightclubs.
When she’s not vocally performing on stage, Duchy hosts musical events of all kinds, from small festivals, club nights
and charity events and is the Co founder of GoodNoyz-Sound System & MTW aka Mum's the word, both musical collectives
whose sole purpose has been to bring passionate musical talent people together in championing good vibes
with an amazing fusion of eclectic global sounds, past present & future.
